• Belles Burgers - Don’t be misled by the name – it’s not just all about the burgers. Belles also offers a range of delicious vegetarian and vegan options and is constantly changing seasonal dishes and specials. Located in Lazenby’s central food precinct , open 8:00am to 3:00pm weekdays.

• Ciano’s Espresso Bar offers locally-roasted coffee and a range of traditional and modern Italian food, including freshly made salads, panini, focaccia, pizza, soups and house made cakes, and a range of hot and cold drinks

• Hobart Coffee Roasters serves locally-roasted coffee, a range of breakfast options (including brekkie rolls and granola pots), house made soups, toasties and sushi and a range of house made sweet treats.

• Taco Taco - Delivering its signature Mexican dishes - freshly made tacos, quesadillas and nachos - also injecting some fresh and exciting additions to its University offer. Located in Lazenby’s central food precinct , open 8:00am to 3:00pm weekdays.

• University Staff Club - The University Club is in Dobson Road on the Sandy Bay campus and is open to members and their guests for morning tea and lunch. The club also has private function rooms and a catering service is available.

• Source EcoHub - Source EcoHub is home to a community garden, regular music events, workshops, and a plant-based catering operation at 12 French Street, Sandy Bay. Join a Source Garden Working Bee on every Saturday 10am until 2pm and includes a free lunch for volunteers. Source Session music events are on the first Friday of each month where top eats, drinks and tunes are guaranteed. Source is a cooperative organisation focussed on environmental and social well-being. Connect with Source EcoHub by attending a Saturday Garden Working Bee or via Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date with events.

• If you’re a parent studying or a staff member working at the uni, we’ve ensured that childcare doesn’t have to be an issue. Our partnership with Lady Gowrie Tasmania ensures that your kids will be entertained and nurtured for in a convenient and modern location on our Sandy Bay campus.

• The Library has a huge range of printed and electronic information resources to help you with your studies. There are five University libraries in Hobart: the Morris Miller and Law libraries on the Sandy Bay campus, and the Clinical, Carington Smith Library in Hobart city.
• Some library learning hubs offer 24-hour access. However, access to the libraries varies depending on the academic year. Please check the current Library opening hours.

You are welcome to feed your child wherever you feel comfortable on campus. In addition, facilities are available for staff and students who need a private space to breastfeed/express milk.

Room locations

• Australia Post – An Australia Post self-service hub is located in the Morris Miller breezeway, just outside the Morris Miller Library on central campus. The hub provides vending of postage supplies such as envelopes and stamps, parcel lockers for receiving parcels on campus and post boxes for standard and express post.

Sandy Bay campus

• The Multi Faith Centre on the ground floor of the TUSA building (at the east entrance) provides offices, a chapel and meeting place for University of Tasmania students and staff. To make a booking or to communicate about any related issue with this space, email multifaith.centre@respomse.com.
• A prayer room and facilities for Muslim students and staff are also available. These are located on the first floor of the TUSA building above the Multi Faith Centre. For information and access, contact Campus Security on +61 3 6226 7600.

• Unigym offers full gym, exercise classes and social sports activities. Discounted gym memberships are available to University of Tasmania students.
